Climbing for Emma

'When climbing mountains we go in search of the boundaries of our own abilities. Every time we try to push these boundaries a bit further. This is part of the experience. Taking on the challenge, because you know that you will get a feeling of freedom in return which is uncomparable.

Children in the Emma Children's hospital cross their boundaries further than we can imagine. They do not choose to fight this battle and this is exactly the reasons why we cannot sit around and do nothing. These children deserve to be supported by you. Fortunately there is a foundation which gives this support. We would like to contribute to this foundation through our climb to the top of the world.'

What does the foundation do?

The foundations finances, with the help of donors, facilities which are much needed to make the stay of the children and their parents in the Children's Hospital AMC more pleasant. The normal hospital budget does not allow for this.
The foundation also supports scientific research focussed on improving the treatment of children who are seriously ill.  

 

Hospital of the future

Amongst the group of seriously and chronically ill children, physical, psychological and social problems are often observed. As the hospital of the future, the foundation would like to address this by creating circumstances for the patients and their parents, which allow an as normal as possible development for the children. This in spite of their illness, treatment, dependence on others and limitations. Your financial support is essential to secure a safe future for these children.
